Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Onyx Live processes information. Onyx Live is the software that runs the live trading room on the Aden Onyx YouTube channel (see adenonyx.com). It is operated by PERSONLAYER OÜ (Estonia · Registry code 17122931) under the Aden Onyx brand ("we"). It also covers this website. Contact: contact@adenonyx.com.
YouTube API Services
Onyx Live uses YouTube API Services. By watching or chatting in an Aden Onyx live stream you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's processing of your information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Onyx Live accesses YouTube only through the Aden Onyx channel's own authorization, and only for the live chat of that channel's own live streams. Viewers never sign in to Onyx Live and never grant it access to their accounts.
What we process
Live chat messages in Aden Onyx live streams
Through the YouTube API, Onyx Live receives each message posted in the live chat of an Aden Onyx live stream:
- the message text, its YouTube message ID and the time it was published;
- the author's YouTube channel ID and display name, and whether the author is the channel owner or a chat moderator.
It does not receive or request your email address, your Google account details, your subscriptions, your watch history or anything else about your account.
How the messages are used
- To answer questions addressed to Onyx. Onyx reads the message to understand the question. It then answers in its own words from its trading records and from information we have published. Onyx never reads a viewer's message aloud, and the text of a message is never turned into speech.
- To keep the chat in order. Messages are checked for spam, links, personal data, abuse and attempts to manipulate Onyx. Depending on the case, Onyx Live may do nothing, remove a message, post a warning in the chat, or temporarily or permanently restrict a participant on the channel's behalf. Unclear cases are left for a person to review. When a participant is removed, Onyx may announce it in a short fixed sentence. That sentence never includes the message, and it names the participant only if their display name passes the same safety checks as chat messages.
- To limit load and abuse. Per-viewer and overall rate limits, duplicate detection and moderation history use the channel ID. These counters live in memory and are not written to disk.
Automated processing by a service provider (OpenAI)
To understand questions and to detect abusive messages, Onyx Live sends the text of chat messages (at most 500 characters) to the OpenAI API: to its moderation classifier, and to a language model that identifies what is being asked and helps word Onyx's answer. Your channel ID is not sent. Your display name is sent to the moderation classifier only when it would be spoken in a removal announcement. OpenAI processes this data as our service provider under its API terms and its data commitments for API customers. Messages that Onyx Live's own filters settle first (duplicates, floods, obvious spam) are not sent.
Onyx's voice
Onyx's voice is generated by text-to-speech software running on our own computers. No external voice service is used. Only sentences composed by Onyx are spoken. The audio becomes part of the live stream on YouTube, and no separate recording of it is kept.
What we store and for how long
| Record | Contents | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Interaction log | Message ID and time, channel ID, display name, the decision (for example ignored, answered, moderated) and Onyx's answer. The message text (up to 300 characters) only for messages Onyx answered, could not answer, or acted on. Ignored messages are logged without their text. | 30 days, then deleted automatically |
| Moderation record | Channel ID, display name at the time, message ID and time, an excerpt of the message (up to 200 characters), the type of issue, the action, the reason and confidence, earlier actions, and any YouTube ban ID. Used to review decisions and handle appeals. | 30 days, then deleted automatically |
The records are stored on computers we operate. They are not stored in the cloud by us, not sold, not used for advertising, and not combined with any other information about you. No YouTube data is kept longer than 30 days.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent any information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or information resellers. It is shared only with OpenAI as described above, as a service provider processing it for us, and with YouTube itself when Onyx Live takes an action in the chat (such as removing a message). We disclose information to others only if the law requires it.
The Aden Onyx channel's authorization (Google user data)
The only Google account that authorizes Onyx Live is the Aden Onyx channel's own account. It grants the YouTube scope
youtube.force-ssl. Onyx Live uses that access only to identify the authorizing channel, find the channel's own live streams and
their live chat, read that chat, post Onyx notices, and moderate it. The authorization token is stored only on the computer that runs
Onyx Live and is never shared.
Onyx Live's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information obtained through YouTube API Services is used only to provide Onyx Live's own live chat features described here. It is not used for advertising and it is not used to train AI models.
Access can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

- If you think a moderation action was a mistake, write to the same address. Include your channel and the approximate time.
- Messages you post remain on YouTube under YouTube's own rules. You can delete them on YouTube.
